Here we go again – MAMMA MIA! is back! Read on to find out how you can win a pair of tickets to the musical.
It’s been 4 years since ‘MAMMA MIA!’ was last staged in Singapore, and the highly successful International Tour is back to dazzle audiences once again.
Since premiering in Dublin in September 2004, has visited 85 cities across 38 countries and sold over 5 million tickets.
Set against the backdrop of sunny Greece, the charming story of love, laughter and friendship centres around a mother-daughter relationship and a bride-to-be’s quest to discover the identity of her father.
The musical features over 22 of legendary pop group ABBA’s greatest hits, including ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Take A Chance On Me’, ‘Does Your Mother Know’ and of course, ‘Mamma Mia’.
The opening of the musical was welcomed by an event on November 3 organized by Base Entertainment Asia and Marina Bay Sands, where the record for the largest Mamma Mia! Themed Workout was set in the Singapore Book of Records.
About 300 participants donned 70’s inspired outfits and danced to classic hits by ABBA. The crowd had another treat during the event – the cast of the musical made a special appearance as well.
The musical arrives at the peak of the buzz surrounding the franchise, following the release of ‘MAMMA MIA! Here We Go Again’ earlier this July. The musical film is a follow-up to the 2008 film ‘MAMMA MIA!’, which went on to become the highest-grossing live-action musical film of all time when it was released.
“MAMMA MIA! has been a worldwide phenomenon with people around the globe falling in love with its story and music,” said Chantal Prudhomme, Chief Executive Officer of Base Entertainment Asia.
“Even after years, it continues to attract audiences to come back for more. Whether it’s your first visit or your fourteenth, this stunning production will never be outdated for what the world needs – love, laughter, family and friendship.”
