IT’S THE SHIP, touted as Asia’s largest festival at sea, is returning this year.
Are you ready to set sail on the adventure of a lifetime? Get ready for IT’S THE SHIP, Asia’s largest festival at sea, which is returning for its 2023 reunion sailing from March 8th to 10th, after a four-year hiatus. The event promises to be an unforgettable experience, featuring non-stop entertainment, epic parties, and much more.
The festival will be held on the Genting Dream, the top-tier cruise liner by Resorts World Cruises, offering shipmates a 3D2N festival experience at sea that promises to be unforgettable.
Music lovers will be in for a treat, as this year’s artist lineup is jam-packed with heavy hitters from various genres, including Vini Vici, Kid-Ink, and Hardstyle heavyweight, Ran-D. In addition, the festival will also feature stage takeovers from prominent music labels, such as Barong Family and One Night In Amsterdam. Get ready to dance the night away to your favourite tunes under the starry sky.
But the festival is much more than just music. IT’S THE SHIP promises a 360 experience like no other, with an array of theme and pop-up parties to keep the excitement going. Expect the iconic Foam Party, Sleepless Society, and exciting new additions such as Nauti-neon, Disco Diaries, Shagrilla, and Rave Cave. On the flipside, you can also indulge in wellness activities, such as HIIT, yoga, and sound healing, to recharge your batteries.
And that’s not all – there’s something for everyone on board The Genting Dream. You can also catch performances from comedians, drag queens, and more, with surprises at every turn.
One exciting addition to this year’s sailing is the iconic captain, Sima Taparia from Netflix’s hit show Indian Matchmaking. She brings her matchmaking expertise to the high seas, with Love Tips, Speed Dating, and much more. Aunty Sima’s turn as Captain follows iconic runs by former Captains like actor David Hasselhoff of Baywatch fame and top male model Tyson Beckford.
“Our constant focus on community feedback shows that people want a different kind of festival experience, and this year we’ve pulled out all the stops to give our shipmates an unforgettable one with a plethora of options for them to discover,” says Samira Davidson, Project Lead of IT’S THE SHIP. “We can’t wait to welcome shipmates home.”
This year, the festival promises an epic 90 hours of non-stop partying with over 60 artists and performers, welcoming a global community of festival lovers from 88 different countries in Singapore. It has become a must-attend event for music and party lovers, with its unique concept of a music festival at sea.
If you consider yourself a Tier One shipmate, then you need to know about DuckDrop, the exclusive membership that gives you ultimate access to everything related to the festival. Not content with simply providing an immersive festival experience, the festival is taking things one step further by being the first music festival in Asia to incorporate blockchain technology.
Each Duck trait that’s introduced represents various IT’S THE SHIP personalities and characters, making it a unique and personalised experience for each and every shipmate. With DuckDrop, the festival is bringing people together and supporting the entertainment and music festival industries, all in the hopes of closing the gap between them and their fans.
One of the more interesting things about DuckDrop is the in-real-life experiences that will be shared to all its holders through time. These experiences are the key utilities offered by DuckDrop, and they promise to be unforgettable. Expect discounts, artist experiences, private shows and invite-only parties.
Get ready to sail into the sunset, make new friends, and create unforgettable memories. Bon voyage!
