YUNGBLUD is a Pop-Punk rebel on a mission to spread the message of individuality, acceptance and love all over the world.

While he spoke to us from his hotel room in Finland with a strong sense of self-assuredness, YUNGBLUD revealed that it hasn’t always been like this. It turns out that his confidence started as an act of defiance and came from a place of insecurity, sadness and anger. “People will ridicule you and see you as their idea of what you are. If you believe that, you fail to exist,” he says, “this happened my whole life and at one point I just said, ‘f**k this’”. With his debut, he posed a question to the world – “Is there anyone out there like me?” And to that, millions responded.
The 25-year old artist has headlined multiple tours but his most memorable encounter with his fans (The Black Hearts Club) was back in 2018, in which one of his performances helped a transgender fan finally be accepted by her parents for who she was. “I will never forget that story for the rest of my life. It was a really powerful moment for all of us because YUNGBLUD isn’t about me, it’s about all of us.” This moment later inspired the song ‘mars’.
YUNGBLUD has become a symbol of individuality for youths and dedicates both his life and career to allow The Black Hearts Club to be who they are by expressing himself in a manner he thinks is right. Led by his heart and personal truth, he has built a community of passionate people that look up to him. With his music, it was never about hit songs but about saying something. “That’s why we painted (a rainbow) on the floor in Poland, a country that is very difficult to be queer,” he added. Fuelled by frustration by what is happening in the world, YUNGBLUD is an act of defiance to a world that is holding the inevitable back.
To those struggling to find and be themselves, YUNGBLUD offers a word of advice: “There has never been anyone else like you and there never will be. Your individuality is the best thing and only thing you’ve got that nobody else has. Use it, let it shine and let it be. Never hide that little part of yourself because it might make people not love you. If they didn’t, they weren’t meant to be a part of your life in the first place. It could be the most beautiful thing about yourself and you’re hiding it.” He emphasised that the YUNGBLUD community is one of acceptance, “find us, come to us, and we’ll love you.”
For YUNGBLUD, it’s all about energy to inspire him from his songs to visual concepts. Energy from a person, a statement, from love to hate, it is the only thing in the world that doesn’t lie because it can’t lie. Perhaps that is why everything he produces stands out – because you can’t recreate a feeling, otherwise it wasn’t real.
The ‘Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today’ singer also recently announced the release of his upcoming third album in September. On the self-titled album, YUNGBLUD offered some insight behind the album he knew he was bound to make. “If you’re lucky enough to get the opportunity to have a third album, especially in a world now that is full of trends, I believe you really get to figure out who you are as an artist. With this album, I’m so thankful to my community because I feel loved and accepted. Now, this album can be personal because I have a family out there that loves and can protect me. That’s the point of YUNGBLUD.”
